The most important thing to do at Back of Beyond is relax!
Back of Beyond is ideal for gentle walks. There are 18 acres of unspoilt woodland for you to enjoy and dogs are allowed.
You can also take part in these recreational activities at our park:
Nine-hole Pitch & Put course
Our Pitch & Putt course is almost 1/2 mile long from the first to the ninth hole. Rabbit holes and mole hills are all part of the fun! You can hire golf clubs and golf balls from Reception. The small fee goes to a local charity.
The Boules pitch is free to use – Boules are available at Reception.
With two lakes and the River Moors going through our park, lake and river fishing are free to our onsite guests.don’t forget to bring your license as it’s essential to have the appropriate fishing licences
The lakes have been restocked with fish for the 2018 season and these are havens for wildlife in an SSSI. They are rich in dragon flies, birdlife, fish and, of course, otters. While our photo galleries show that both the lakes and the river can produce fine catches, do bear in mind that nature’s fisherfolk may be better than their human counterparts at getting to our fish!
For the dedicated angler, the Stour, Avon and specialist fisheries are a walk or short drive away. Read more about local fishing.
DVD and book library
You’ll find DVDs and books to borrow in the Information Cabin near the entrance. Please feel fee to leave donations too!
