Things to do at Back of Beyond

The most important thing to do at Back of Beyond is relax!

Walking

Back of Beyond is ideal for gentle walks. There are 30 acres of unspoilt woodland for you to enjoy and dogs are allowed.

You can also take part in these recreational activities at our park:

Nine-hole Pitch & Put course

Our Pitch & Putt course is almost 1/2 mile long from the first to the ninth hole. Rabbit holes and mole hills are all part of the fun!  You can hire golf clubs and golf balls from Reception. The small fee goes to a local charity.

Boules

The Boules pitch is free to use – Boules are available at Reception.

Fishing

With two lakes and the River Moors going through our park, lake and river fishing are free to our on-site guests. These are havens for wildlife and are rich in dragon flies, birdlife, fish and, of course, otters.

Our photo gallery suggests that both the lakes and the river can produce fine catches, so don’t forget to bring your license as it’s essential to have the appropriate fishing licences. However, do bear in mind that the nature’s fisherfolk may be better than their human counterparts at getting to our fish!

For the dedicated angler, the Stour, Avon and specialist fisheries are a walk or short drive away.

DVD and book library

You’ll find DVDs and books to borrow in the Information Cabin near the entrance. Please feel fee to leave donations too!

Horse trekking centre nearby

Riding stables have now opened at the property next door to our park. They offer idyllic trekking for everyone from beginners to experienced riders.

Treks last from 30 minutes to four hours and you can reach the Westmoors Plantation woodland without having to encounter any roads or traffic. To get there, it’s just five minutes’ walk down the lane.
