Film & Comic Con Bournemouth

For autograph sessions, photo shoots and panel discussions with celebrities from Star Wars, Game of Thrones and Dr. Who.



Bournemouth Rugby 7s Festival 2018

25-27 May, East Parley Sports Ground, Bournemouth

Around 400 sports teams will be coming to the award-winning event in Bournemouth over the late May bank holiday weekend. With 12 themed arenas and over 40 live acts, it’s a unique event with a great atmosphere.



Barn on the Farm

9 June, 6.30pm-10.30 pm, West Moors

A local charity hosts a music, food and games evening amongst the chickens, pigs, sheep and cows. This charity caters for adults with learning difficulties who live and work at Sturts Farm.



Christchurch Cheese & Chilli Festival 2018

9-10 June, Hurn,

Lot’s of traders selling local produce plus live music, demonstrations and talks with this travelling festival



The original Shake & Stir Vintage Festival

28 June-1 July, Southbourne, Bournemouth

Go back to the 1950s and 1960s with Live entertainment, local food and drink, trade stalls, classic cars plus jiving and twisting. Free event.



Jazz by the Sea Festival 2018

24 June-7 July, various venues Bournemouth and Poole

Following the opening concert at the Lighthouse in Poole, there’s a series of concerts around the area, including blues, boogie and the World Jazz Jamboree on the final day with international artists from around the world.



British Pedal Car Grand Prix

Sunday 8 July, Ringwood town centre

40-50 teams will race through the narrow streets, competing in a series of events from midday to 7pm. See event page.


Summer Beer & Cider Festival

Saturday 21 July, Ellingham & Ringwood Rugby Club

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show

24-26 July, Brockenhurst

One of the top agricultural shows in the country, with new extended opening times for 2018. Includes an improved countryside area with dog shows, gymkhana, farm animals and lots more displays and competitions.



The Great Dorset Chilli Festival

28-29 July, Wimborne St. Giles,

A great gathering for chilli enthusiasts and local food and drink lovers with hundreds of stalls, demonstrations and tastings. Hosted at the home of the Earl of Shaftesbury.



Summer Live 2018

13 July – 27 August, Bournemouth Town Square

Live music, live art demonstrations, an outdoor summer garden bar and hot/cold food.



Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Proms in the Park

9- 11 August, Meyrick Park

Featuring the full rock band and stars from the West End hit We Will Rock You, playing classics by Queen with a show of choreographed lasers, lights, flames and fireworks.



Ellingham and Ringwood Show

11 August, Somerley House grounds

A traditional agricultural show in the local stately home, with a huge array of animal shows, livestock and stalls, as well as homemade produce competitions.



The Great Dorset Steam Fair 2018

Thursday 23-Monday 27 August, Tarrant Hinton, Near Blandford Forum

One of the world’s largest heritage and cultural events, showcasing Britain’s industrial, agricultural and leisure history, with hundreds of stalls, interesting displays and, of course, unique vehicles. 2018 is the 50th anniversary.



Bournemouth Air Festival

30 August _ 2 September, Bournemouth Sea Front

Featuring the Red Arrows and other flight acrobatics, WW2 planes and armed forces and related organisations represented on land and at sea.
