Sandbanks

At the Western end of the sweep of Bournemouth bay, this famously expensive peninsular has wonderful sandy beaches on one side and Poole Harbour on the other. You can cross the mouth of Poole Harbour on a car ferry (if it’s working) to get to Shell Bay on the Isle of Purbeck.
