Meet the Team
Get to know the team keeping our wheels turning and our guests smiling
At Back of Beyond Touring Park, we’re a close-knit group of people who genuinely love what we do.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll find friendly faces ready to welcome you, answer your questions, and help make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
Whether it’s keeping the grounds pristine, ensuring facilities are spotless, or offering local tips for exploring the New Forest and Dorset, every member of our team plays a part in creating the unique atmosphere of our park.
Our team shares a deep appreciation for nature, wildlife, and the simple pleasures of outdoor living values that shine through in everything we do. Many of us have been with Back of Beyond for years, bringing experience, passion, and a personal touch to the park’s day-to-day life. We’re proud to support a park that’s as much about people as it is about the place, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our amazing park.

Our Wonderful Team

Martin, Owner
I was born in Twickenham, west London and raised mainly in Hertfordshire. After leaving college, I started work as a sales executive firstly for Pepsi Co, and then went on to work for Island Records and lastly as sales Manager for Manga Entertainment. I started working for myself in the early 90s, buying a franchise for photographic developing and printing called Snappy Snaps.
Victoria and I raised our family in Muswell Hill, north London and still often visit the area to see family friends and to support our team Tottenham.
In 2013, we decided for a change of lifestyle and after much searching came across a fairly tired but lovely park in Dorset. So, we sold up the business and family home and started our new life and business at Back of Beyond.

Victoria, Owner
Lancashire born, I have migrated further and further south over the years having spent the majority of my life in London.
Starting out in the travel industry as Cabin Crew and then working for Trailfinders, I never expected to stay firmly rooted in the industry. I certainly never in a million years expected to be owning a touring park close to a campsite that we used to frequent with the kids and friends for a city escape with our tent.
Our purchase of Back of Beyond was the most challenging and hardest thing we have ever done but we saw it through and apart from a few scars that needed to heal we have never looked back. Everyday is different, challenging and always a lot of fun. We have worked with some fantastic people who have helped shape the park to what it is today.
As well as running Back of Beyond I am Mum to three amazing sons who make me proud everyday. We are a close family, we love spending time together and we still love to visit London as we still miss it after all these years. My biggest hobby is travel, I just love it!

Julie, Manager
I fell in love with Back of Beyond when I came here camping in 2019 and after retiring from a stressful, demanding career. Keith and I bought a motorhome and did some travelling around Europe and UK. When BoB advertised for some temporary staff in 2021 we jumped at the chance for a new adventure and the rest is history, as they say.
We love this place, we love the customers and we love that all the staff feel the same as we do. It’s a unique and amazing place to stay.

Keith, Manager
I took early retirement from a career in public service and decided it was time to put my feet up. I’m not entirely sure how it happened but here I am 4 years in still working hard! Fortunately, this is a lovely place to live and work and I thoroughly enjoy being here.

Kate, Warden
After travelling for 4 years in our motorhome I was looking for some part time work, the stars aligned and I joined BOB in April 2024, there’s no other place quite like it! I get to work alongside a fantastic team in a truly special setting.
When I’m not there, I’m the crazy one that gets up at 5am to go sea swimming, paddle boarding, or in the depths of winter taking a daily ice bath, not forgetting the beach sauna.

Malcolm, Warden
Brought up in Surbiton and worked in photography studios, retail and print labs for most of my working life. Have lived in North London and Bow in the the East End. I moved down to Back of Beyond 11 years ago at the same time as Martin and Victoria.
I enjoy photography as a hobby, combined with long walks in the forest and along the coast.

Chris, Warden
Five years ago my wife, Toni, and I were walking along the Brecon Canal and a canal boat came towards us and Toni said “why can’t we do something like that?”. After a long conversation we set about a five year plan to sell our home, buy a motorhome and start living a nomadic lifestyle.
After 12 months of travel, we decided to to look for a campsite wardens role and Back of Beyond seemed to be the perfect place… and here we are!

Charlotte, Bar staff
I’ve been at Back of Beyond for 3 years working here part time whilst studying at Winchester University doing a childcare degree.
You’ll mainly find me at Monty’s Bar preparing your favourite drinks – my favourite drink is a limoncello spritz whilst sitting in the sunshine.

Toni, Warden
I joined the Back of Beyond family, with my husband Chris, in April ’25 after returning from a 3 month winter break touring Spain. Having given up my previous role as a Civil Servant (of 16 yrs) along with our bricks and mortar – we then called home – it was time to declutter and embark on a new journey.
Camping/touring has always been part of our lifestyle, be it in a tent, our old 1972 VW Bay window or more recently our motorhome, so to have the opportunity to give something back to the industry, at such a wonderful park, felt like the perfect work/life balance.

Sam, Warden
It all started with converting our own van, which then quickly led to us travelling Europe for some time and stumbled on some great advice to be wardens. Soon realising this was the life for us we took the plunge. We left our hectic lives of running restaurants behind and eventually landed at Back of Beyond. At the time we were working on our first campsite but after speaking to Martin and Victoria, as soon as we drove in for our interview we instantly knew this was the place for us. It’s such a great atmosphere all year round for everyone involved. Now we are part of the family, no looking back. Team BoB all the way!

Pete, Cleaner/Bar staff
I started life at Back of Beyond four years ago as a contract cleaner and quickly fell in love with being here.
Now I keep the changing areas hygienic, serve our excellent beer and sometimes I’m even allowed to roll back the years of cabaret and sing for everyone!

Hayden, Warden
I’ve grown up here at Back of Beyond, watching the place develop. I enjoy front of house work with customers, having a laugh and making the stay special for everyone.
I work here through the summer, as I study Electronic Music Production full time at Point Blank Music School in London. However, BoB will always be my home and have a special place in my heart!

Nathan, Warden
I love working at BoB. Myself and Sam found this place after working for many years running restaurants and pubs up north and finding ourselves to have little to no life outside of work. We took the plunge to buy a van, convert it ourselves and get out of the 80 hour weeks and start to enjoy life and each other more. We set off travelling across Europe, spending a lot of time in Spain and Portugal. After doing this for a while, we decided to try something new and become park wardens. We initially started at a campsite elsewhere but didn’t think it was for us so after a few month we took the plunge and got in touch with Martin and Victoria after seeing they had an opening for live-in park wardens. As soon as we drove through the gates for our interview we knew instantly that this was going to be the place for us – such a warm vibe and felt ‘at home’. Almost two seasons later we are still enjoying BoB as much as we did on day 1 – the park, the customers and most importantly the fantastic team. Here’s to many more happy memories!

Graham, Master Carpenter
I originally trained as a boat builder in Southampton. I then had my own business for 35 years building bespoke sailing yachts for individual customers. After moving to Dorset, I began working at Back of Beyond constructing the shepherd huts, bar area and upgrading the existing shower blocks.

Emma, Marketing Manager
I have been working with the Back of Beyond team for over 3 years now. I love the variety that my role brings, from creating social media posts to working with photographers and videographers to capture the essence of the park.
In my spare time, I love spending time in nature whether that be on a long walk or in search of kingfishers and otters with my camera!

Roy, Groundsman
I have been working behind the scenes at Back of Beyond for the last 10 years. I regularly come along to help put in infrastructure under the ground that no one gets to see. I look forward to continue to work with the BoB team into the future.

Rupert, Gardener
I joined Back of Beyond in May 2025 as a gardener, helping to maintain the pitches, grass cutting, hedge trimming and much more.
I grew up in Wimborne, but in 1990, I moved to Buckinghamshire to do an apprenticeship as a farrier. The company I worked for was by appointment to Her Majesty the Queen and the then Prince of Wales, now King Charles. We would go to shoe the carriage horses at Buckingham Palace and the Queen’s personal horses at Windsor Castle. We also did a lot of polo ponies around Windsor. I continued in this profession for around 30 years but decided that it was time for a change in career and do something a little less strenuous, so took up gardening and have been doing so for the past two years.

Muswell, Park dog
Muswell is our resident tail-wagger and unofficial campsite ambassador! He takes his duties seriously – greeting new arrivals, inspecting many a pitch, and occasionally paying a visit to Monty’s Bar. When not supervising, he enjoys dozing in the sun outside reception or joining guests for a stroll.

Monty, Park cat
Monty was our park’s resident cat and our bar, Monty’s Bar, is named after him. He sadly passed away in early 2025 but his legacy lives on here at Back of Beyond!
