What’s New for 2026 at Back of Beyond Adult-Only Campsite
Despite the weather, it’s been all go behind the scenes at Back of Beyond as we prepare for the 2026 camping season. Located on the Dorset/Hampshire border, our adult-only campsite is continually evolving to offer a peaceful, high-quality experience for touring and glamping guests alike.
Over the winter months, a number of improvements have been made across the park to enhance comfort, convenience and the overall stay.
New touring pitches for 2026
Six new Astroturf touring pitches on Damson are currently being built, providing a durable, all-weather surface that helps keep pitches practical and tidy throughout the season.
Shepherd hut upgrades and new ensuite glamping
We’ve installed new bases for all four shepherd huts, including preparations for two new ensuite shepherd huts (Heather and Bramble) arriving for 2026. These new huts will feature private bathrooms and kitchens, offering an upgraded glamping option for guests seeking extra comfort and privacy.
Improved arrivals and site security
A new barrier system with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) is being installed to support smoother arrivals and enhanced site security, helping to maintain the calm, exclusive atmosphere our adult-only guests value.
More space at Monty’s Bar
An extension to Monty’s Bar is also underway, creating additional space to unwind with a drink after a day exploring the New Forest, Dorset coast and surrounding countryside.
